The harvest of Delikatessen AW’14 collection is based on the leafy green, curly and ornamental vegetable Kale from our garden in Burgundy (France). Kale is a rich source of calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin K. It is also a source of the minerals copper, potassium, iron, manganese, and phosphorus. It’s beauty, colors, minerals and strength are a paralel to the styles and fabrics that Delikatessen introduces in the collection. The new collection combines honesty, braveness with subtle sophistication.
The key fabrics are: cottons mixed with wool and silk, vintage chambrays, from Japan three ply vintage gaze and thick denims with interesting waffle structures, as well as Italian ‘Lana cotta’. Delikatessen launches slow vintage Wagayama knits, combining subtleness and soft touch.
Delikatessen is an Amsterdam-based menswear line, founded in 2009 by Andre Lisowski and Stephen Hartog. Delikatessen is focused on well-tailored, but effortless garments, that combine traditional craftsmanship with a modern approach to design.
